· Quality clicks as high speed broadband now available for under £19 per month

· Only broadband ISP to donate all proceeds to charity

11 January, 2005: Waitrose.com, the online arm of supermarket chain Waitrose, has launched a new, competitively priced broadband pricing structure. At £18.99 per month for 256K, £23.99 for 512K and £29.99 for 1MB, all with free modem, free set up, free support and unlimited usage, Waitrose.com is now bringing broadband to even more households across the UK.

Waitrose.com announces its new pricing structure following the successful launch of its high speed broadband service in June 2004. As the first UK supermarket to provide broadband, subscribers have been attracted to the quality and reliability of Waitrose.com's ISP offering and the opportunity to raise money for good causes.

Peter Burns, Internet Marketing Manager for Waitrose.com, says: "We aim to offer a real alternative to those choosing broadband Internet access. With 53% of UK adults now able to access the Internet at home, of which 25% are now using broadband (Source: Ofcom), broadband gives them the speed to make their lives online faster and more convenient. Waitrose.com proves that you can have a high quality service that doesn't cost the earth."

In addition to offering subscribers fast, efficient access to the internet, Waitrose.com also enables customers to 'click with care' as it is the only broadband ISP to donate all its proceeds to charity. The four major charities are: British Red Cross, Macmillan Cancer Relief, British Heart Foundation and The Prince's Trust. Customers can vote on how the profits are divided between the four charities. As well as its broadband proceeds, all profits from its dial-up anytime and pay as you go services also go to charity.

Waitrose.com Broadband also provides customers the quality of service that has become synonymous with the Waitrose brand. The ISP has been created with this core value in mind as it is easy-to-use and offers free 24x7 technical support every step of the way. Subscribers also benefit from unlimited email addresses, free 100 MB of webspace, compatibility with Mac computers, as well as free anti-virus and anti-spam protection for incoming emails.
