Tim Russell and Katrina Bain, account managers at creative communications agency Tullo Marshall Warren (TMW) have been named as winners of the Media category in this year’s Guardian UK Young Lions competition.

The dynamic duo had just one weekend to prepare a media brief by children’s charity UNICEF. Five teams, including a second team from TMW, were then shortlisted to present their work to a panel of judges, before a winner was announced.

Russell and Bain will now go on to represent the UK at the 58th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which takes place between 19-25 June 2011. As well as having to prepare and present a brief in Cannes, the team will also receive registration to the festival, with access to all the seminars, award ceremonies and showcases.

TMW is committed to developing and supporting young talent and runs an in-house training programme. The TMW Academy offers employees a range of training courses to encourage their professional development. These range from mobile marketing to web design and presentation skills.
