Omnicom Media Group, UK announces today the appointment of Mark Mitchell as Head of Search. This appointment reflects the increasing contribution being made by the teams of search specialists across the Group operating companies OMD UK, Manning Gottlieb OMD, M2M, PHD, PHD North and Rocket.

Mark moves from his role as Head of Search at OMD UK Group, a role he has held for over two years and where he has helped to build one of the largest search offerings within the UK. Mark led the teams that brought in the PPC business from Shop Direct Group (Littlewoods, Very, Isme), a top 5 search client within Google, and the international SEO contract from EuropCar Group (Alamo Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental) which was won in a hotly contested pitch earlier this year. This is the first SEO only client within the Group and adds to the 30+ SEO clients managed across Omnicom Media Group companies.

Prior to joining OMD, Mark spent six years at The Search Works where he held a number of roles from Head of Strategy to Interim Head of Operations.

Mark will take charge of growing Omnicom Media Group’s search offering which accounts for over £60m in billings and has a team of 85 specialists working across the Group companies.

He will report to Philippa Brown, CEO, Omnicom Media Group, UK.
