DBD Media (www.dbdmedia.co.uk), the specialists in search engine marketing, has hired Jonny Rosemont as its first ever Head of Social Media.

For over ten years DBD Media’s success has been in helping clients reach their online audiences and increase their visibility through best-practice paid and natural search marketing. The last three years has seen significant growth in DBD Media's social media consultancy revenues as clients respond to the growth in social media and their requirement to remain front of mind to customers. This new appointment marks the launch of a significant new business division for DBD Media, and signifies its commitment to excellence in social media marketing.

In this role Jonny is responsible for developing DBD Media’s social media proposition, taking its initiatives and services to market, and managing client social media campaigns and strategies. He will work closely with the agency’s PPC and SEO teams and will report directly into Managing Director Nigel Muir.

Jonny comes to DBD Media from John Lewis where he was an integral part of the team that devised, launched and managed the retailer’s social media strategy. This included a comprehensive engagement programme and a dedicated branded presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

In total, Jonny brings to DBD Media over six years of multiple sector social media experience and expertise. Before John Lewis he was at Weber Shandwick where he was responsible for consulting on and managing the digital communications programmes for its UK and pan-European clients, including Microsoft, Samsung, Aldi, MasterCard and the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Jonny also previously hold a role at Bite Communications where he was responsible for the rolling out its own social media programmes.
