Ronak Patel joins from MediaCom as Digital Media Strategist
Sandy Hocking appointed as Affiliate Account Manager

Draftfcb London is ramping up its media team with the appointments of Ronak Patel and Sandy Hocking. Reporting into the Head of Media Operations, James Duffy at Draftfcb, fuelled by Blue Barracuda, both will plan and manage brand and performance activity for clients including Fat Face, Getty Images and Kiddicare.

The agency, formed as a result of the merger of Draftfcb London and Blue Barracuda last month to fortify Draftfcb’s offering in a key strategic hub worldwide, employs over 180 people. It serves as the digital hub and resource for Draftfcb’s European network of agencies with capabilities across advertising, CRM, retail, and the complete range of digital services, from digital strategies and campaign planning to full- service execution and online media buying and planning.

Joining from MediaCom, Ronak Patel brings five years of digital planning and buying experience to the role which will see him defining the most effective digital media strategies for brands. He spent three years at MediaCom where he had full responsibility for the planning, implementation and results for clients including Audi, VW and Skoda. Prior to that, he worked as a digital planner / buyer at Initiative Media on the agency’s major clients including Johnson & Johnson, Samsung, ICI Dulux and Fujitsu Siemens. He will work alongside media planner buyers including Bence Bathi, who joined the agency last year from McCann Erickson, Hungary where he lead digital and Above-The -Line planning and buying activity for brands including Opel, Nestle, ING and T-Mobile.

Formerly Sales Development Manager at DiscountVouchers.co.uk, Sandy Hocking brings best practice understanding of working with affiliate agencies, networks, merchants and affiliates across several channels to market from SEO and PPC to email, content, social media and coupon affiliates. Working alongside Affiliate Account Manager, Kunal Patel, she will develop, implement and monitor strategies for clients including Kiddicare, BAA, Hamleys and Angels.

The appointments take place with immediate effect.
