London,14 September 2011 - Econsultancy, the global source of independent advice and insight on best practice digital marketing and e-commerce, today launches the global Innovation Awards 2012, dedicated to recognising the smartest new ideas and achievements across the industry.

Building on the success of last year’s awards where Hiscox, British Airways, Jessops, Gatwick Airport and BBC were amongst the winners, Econsultancy has included a number of new vertical-focussed award categories encompassing innovations in B2B, Financial Services, Publishing, Media & Entertainment, Retail and Travel & Leisure.

Entries will be assessed by our hand-picked panel of judges from companies known for innovation, including Tesco, and The Guardian, with more to be announced each week up until the entry deadline.

Now in their fourth year, the awards have become the benchmark for innovation in the digital marketing and e-commerce community, as last year’s winners testify; Managing Director of BroadView Stuart Maister says “Clients are buying our video marketing solutions because they perform well, but winning this award – for Innovation from Econsultancy – supports our pitch that we are leading the field in new ideas. And that’s priceless.”
