LONDON, 28 September: Econsultancy, the digital marketing publishing and training company, has appointed former Reputation Online editor Vikki Chowney as news editor.

Chowney will help drive the news operation that Econsultancy is in the process of establishing, overseeing a team of reporters.

Most recently she has worked as content editor for at Spark 44. Prior to that she was editor at Reputation Online, and has written columns for Communicate and New Media Age.

Chowney said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Econsultancy at such an exciting time. We have some excellent plans for the blog and are launching a magazine in 2012.”

Econsultancy director of innovation Chris Lake said: “We’re delighted to welcome Vikki to the team. She’s coming onboard with us at just the right time and will be a great asset as we ramp up our editorial output.”

Econsultancy is in the middle of a hiring push that will require it to move to bigger offices in London.
