With an increasing number of users shopping online via tablets, especially iPads, we felt that we would lead the way in the voucher code market and provide a great interface for our users to find discounts as quickly as possible. The iPad site, although having a completely different interface, is fully integrated with NetVoucherCode’s existing online platform.

Launched early November, following the recent release of iOS5, the netvouchercodes iPad web application takes advantage of a number of features only available in this version of iOS.

The www.NetVoucherCodes.co.uk iPad site uses the latest programming technologies to create a responsive layout. This enables the user to view the application in either landscape or portrait depending on their individual preference. It also has native inertia scrolling built in to provide a faster user experience.

From a design point of view, it has a 3 column approach, enabling users to navigate around the application very easily. Our aim was for our users to find a code or deal in as few a steps as possible.

The iPad web application also takes advantage of the latest HTML5 video capabilities. We are now able to promote our merchants videos and reward our users for watching them with a discount code. Offering a voucher code for products featured in a video creates a strong purchase call to consumers.

Steve Barnes, managing director of www.NetVoucherCodes.co.uk, commented: "Recent stats show that 60 million tablets are due to ship worldwide in 2011, of which 68% in Q2 consisted of Apple iPads. This is therefore a great platform to have available to our user base."
