22nd November 2011: Digital agency Freestyle Interactive clinched four top marketing communication awards, including the coveted Grand Prix, at last week’s annual Marketing Industry Networks award night.

In a stunning evening, Freestyle overcame competition from regional and nationwide agencies to take the number one spot in the following categories: Digital Agency of the Year; Best Marketing Business in the Midlands, Best Mobile Campaign for Arriva Bus and the ultimate award The Grand Prix.

Alan Cooper, Freestyle owner said: “Winning one award was great, but taking four back to the agency, especially the Grand Prix, generated a real buzz. Recognition from your peer group in such a positive way is a shot in the arm for everyone in the agency. It also recognises the high quality work we create for our clients.”

Freestyle, one of the largest independent digital marketing communication agencies in the UK is a Midlands business success story. With a strong existing client list, Freestyle opened the doors to its first European office in Paris back in September 2011.

With a heritage in building and designing corporate & brand websites, Freestyle is also growing rapidly in the mobile, social media, search and online PR fields.

Freestyle Managing Director, Suzanne Linton said: “We work hard at creating an agency that can deliver exceptionally high standards to meet clients’ needs and is also a great place to work. To stay out in front it is vital that we continue to grow our service offering to take account of the evolving media & digital landscape and changing online customer behaviour. We are delighted that our success has been recognised by these awards. “
Judges comprised experts from both the agency world and in-house marketers.

Richard Draycott, Managing Director Marketing Industry Network: “I was delighted that Freestyle Interactive collected the Grand Prix awards at MiAwards 2011. The judges were very impressed by how Freestyle has managed to increase its revenue, grow its staff numbers and protect its margins during what we are continually told are very tough economic times. Obviously Freestyle has a clear plan for managed growth despite hard times. The business has also invested substantially in its own infrastructure and has also begun to expand outside the UK by opening a new Paris office, which again is great to see and shows what an ambitious and solid agency Freestyle is. The judges also liked that whilst Freestyle is a very successful business it hasn’t forgotten who makes that business so successful – its staff. A strong feeling of unity, fun and a genuine enjoyment of what they do came through Freestyle’s report, which was refreshing to see.”
