If Internet searches are any indication, the Easter Bunny won’t be the only thing bouncing this weekend, as UK web surfers look in ever increasing numbers for ‘trampolines’. Internet searches on the word ‘trampolines’ are up four-fold since the beginning of the year. This trend was apparent last Spring with trampolines being one of the hot searches sending visitors to the Shopping & Classifieds – House & Garden sector.

The early return to nice weather appears to have reinvigorated our appetite for other outdoor items as well, with UK residents more than doubling their searches on items like ‘garden furniture’ and ‘garden sheds’ in the past week alone.

While high street retailers have suffered the effects of the earlier poor weather and the flu that has swept the country, the improvement in temperature may also signal a return to better times at the cash register, especially for those retailers catering to green thumbs. Last weekend, Shopping & Classifieds - House and Garden websites enjoyed their largest share of UK Internet visits since the January sales, hailing a particularly positive outlook for this sector online.
