~ retailer set for busy Christmas period with ecommerce solution ~

LONDON, UK – Venda, the world’s largest on-demand convergent commerce provider, has been chosen by JML, the retail screen promotions and DRTV home shopping specialist, to grow its online sales in the UK and Europe in the run-up to Christmas.

JML Direct needed a flexible ecommerce solution that would be operationally efficient to support its growth plans for the online business. As a result, the company selected Venda based on its previous experience building fully scalable, secure and reliable ecommerce websites for iconic brands including Laura Ashley, Heals, and Emma Bridgewater. The Venda cloud on-demand model also offers the stability and flexibility that JML Direct needs for trading over the busy Christmas period - a time that generates high volumes of traffic and transactions - without impacting its end-customer experience.

In addition to the core technology, Venda is providing the incremental service and support network required for an assignment of this size. It was able to deliver the JML Direct project quickly using Venda Quickbuild, which gives customers a project timeline to follow, specifically designed for their needs.

Venda also worked with JML Direct to maintain and enhance a number of additional features including multi-currency payment solutions in both sterling and euros, support for JML Direct’s affiliate partners such as tagging and feeds, dynamic banners based on country and currency selected and detailed product videos. This helps JML to offer a truly multi-channel experience, able to respond to seasonal fluctuations effectively.

Laura Fallace at JML commented: “JML is synonymous with innovative and time-saving products and we wanted an ecommerce solution that reflected this ethos. In addition to this, the PCI Level 1 compliance is key as security for our customers is top priority. As an international retailer, the holiday season is a fantastic opportunity for us, and the scalability and flexibility of Venda’s ecommerce solution helps us adapt to meet demand. The design of the site maintains our brand traditions and provides a clean fresh appearance to appeal and attract new customers. As a result, we are seeing sales growth and are optimistic about 2012 and beyond.”

Eric Abensur, Group CEO at Venda, added: “For most retailers seasonal sales can be the difference between make or break. As such, the influx of customers at Christmas time should be seized with both hands. Retailers must take full advantage of this period and need to develop convergent commerce strategies that deliver a unified customer experience across all channels, and take into account seasonal increases in traffic. This will ensure they maximise profits, maintain competitiveness, and can successfully handle all the customers that visit their website.”
