LONDON, UK – Venda, the world’s largest on-demand ecommerce provider, announces that as 2012 draws to a close it is ending a successful year with a 14% share of the European eCommerce platforms market. The company is also announcing that retailers on its platform have achieved a 23% year-on-year increase in sales.

The market share figures, revealed in the IMRG study of the Top 300 Retailers in Europe show that Venda’s market share is 55% greater than rival Hybris, and more than twice as large as Oracle subsidiary ATG.

Eric Abensur, CEO at Venda commented “Leading retailers and public bodies across Europe, Africa and the USA selected Venda during the past year. Our customer base has grown by 27.50% in 2011 and we are currently building 30 sites on our platform for both new and current customers”.

The client success figures, released for the first time today, show that merchants on the Venda platform have seen an average year-on-year revenue increase of 12.50% over the month of November, with the number of sales increasing by an impressive 23%. “These global-recession defeating figures are already promising to continue during the 2011 Christmas season with some Venda customers already reaching 10,000 orders a day”, said Abensur.

The new figures follows on a successful year of global accolades for Venda and its clients. Leading retailer A|Wear won the Retail Excellence Ireland Award and were shortlisted for the ‘IMRG eCommerce Excellence Award’, long-standing client Laura Ashley won two categories in the ‘2011 Website of the Year Awards’ and Venda won the 2011 American Business Awards for ‘Best new web site’.

“Perhaps the best accolade we can have is the number of clients who have renewed their agreements with us”, said Abensur. “Laura Ashley who have already been with us for over 6-years, this week became the twelfth client to renew their client this year to renew for a further three-years.”
