Hitachi Consulting, whose clients include 25 percent of the Global 100 as well as many leading mid-market companies, have brought in PRWD to provide in-house training for their creative team.

PRWD, the usability and conversion rate optimisation consultancy trusted by brands including Speedo, Lakeland, AllSaints and Manchester Tourist Board, delivered their popular and intensive usability and user experience training course.

Hitachi Consulting are responsible for a portfolio of brand intranets, web applications and websites. Taz Ali, Creative Manager, identified the areas of usability and user experience as being where there is a significant opportunity to improve the scope and value they deliver to their worldwide clients. In addition Hitachi Consulting are currently planning to review and redesign a clients intranet system, and they are aiming to adopt a user-centered design approach – a key area covered in the training course.

Five members of the Hitachi Consulting team attended the in-house training session, including their Microsoft ECM Team Lead and their Creative Services Manager.

Following the training course Andy Baker, Microsoft ECM Team Lead, commented:

“Paul gave a highly tailored course and was happy to dip in and out of the training to meet our agenda, but he also brought us back to the main course notes to ensure that we covered the whole curriculum before the end of the session. Paul was professional and very experienced - both of which added to the value of the training.”

Taz Ali, Creative Services Manager, commented:

“I searched high and low for a reputable company to provide guidance and training to my team in order to further bolster our capabilities around ‘User Centric Design’. I became aware Paul’s company PRWD and was immediately impressed with the level of expertise and reference able collateral on show on their website. It was a no brainer for me; being local was also a major plus point as there is clearly a lack of expertise in this field north of London. Paul proved invaluable on the day as he led us through ‘idea after idea’ in which we could improve our services to our clients. His knowledge of the subject was clear for all to see and his approach to training very professional.”

Paul Rouke, Head of Usability and Conversion at PRWD, delivered the training course and commented:

“When we were approached by Hitachi Consulting it became clear that they already had a solid understanding of key principles of usability and user experience, but they were looking for tailored training which would compliment their existing skills and understanding. This resulted in what was one of my most enjoyable training sessions I have delivered, where the whole day was tailored specifically around the areas which Hitachi Consulting could gain most value from.

What is usually quite a structured training course actually turned in to a bespoke, improvised day of discussions, demonstrations and sharing tips, techniques and recommendations specific to their client projects.

Knowing that Hitachi Consulting would be using the training insights and learnings for their FSTE 100 clients made delivering the training course even more satisfying.”
