Rapidly expanding toy retailer selects neoworks and hybris to realise international multi-channel strategy

Neoworks, a leading e-commerce solution provider, and hybris, a global leader in multichannel commerce software, have today announced that toy retailer The Entertainer will be implementing a new multichannel solution integrating web, call centre and in-store applications. The new solution will be developed by neoworks, based on the hybris Multichannel Suite.

The Entertainer is a successful multichannel toy retailer with over 65 high street stores and a thriving online offer through its website, TheToyShop.com. The retailer is also represented through third-party channels such as Amazon, eBay and play.com. Since 2009 neoworks has been The Entertainer's strategic multichannel partner, during which time the retailer has achieved over 30% year on year growth online and was awarded the 2011 Best Online Toy Retailer by The British Toy & Hobby Association. The Entertainer plans to continue to grow the business significantly online over the next five years, both in the UK and internationally.

In addition to a best of breed platform with proven international capability and multi-site, multi-lingual management, the new website will offer home delivery and "click and collect" delivery options. "Endless aisle” order in store for home delivery and call-centre order placement, order management and customer service functionality will be provided via the hybris Multichannel Suite. The solution will be integrated with The Retail Suite from Itim, enabling real time stock management and multichannel fulfilment, including direct from store.

Duncan Grant, Director of Multi-channel at The Entertainer, said: “We are very excited about continuing to work with neoworks, building on the success of our multi-channel strategy. Our new platform will give us the agility to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations for service and delivery through all channels.”

Nigel Atkinson, Director at neoworks, added: "This is an extremely exciting project for neoworks. The Entertainer has an innovative multichannel strategy with the store at the heart of the experience both online and offline. The new multichannel solution will support this strategy, enabling seamless customer service through all interactions with The Entertainer."

Speaking about the new contract, Ariel Lüdi, CEO of hybris, said: “We are delighted to be at the centre of The Entertainer's multichannel platform strategy. The new solution is exciting and innovative and will make excellent use of our Multichannel Accelerator that neoworks have been instrumental in helping us bring to market.”
