Digital consultancy, Livelink has launched a complete multi-channel digital marketing campaign for modular building specialist, Elliott Modular Buildings. The website, which has been launched to support Refurb or Rebuild LIVE ! (the competition for schools that Elliott’s sponsors) was built by the digital expert’s team in just four days and is expected to receive a high number of visitors in the coming weeks as the countdown to the final stage of the competition begins.

The prize for the two winning primary and secondary schools is a classroom – including furniture and fittings – worth £100,000. The final part of the competition, which is run in conjunction with the Building Future Education (BFE) Conference and Exhibition, takes place at the Business Design Centre in London on 9th and 10th May 2012 so, with those dates in place, Elliott needed the project to be completed as soon as possible.

The website has been designed to encourage parents and governors to lobby their head teachers to sign up to the competition which fosters childrens’ design and creativity skills and develops their understanding of the built environment.
Multi-channel marketing expert Livelink has developed a social media strategy to engage head teachers by addressing all relevant influencers, including parents, governors, educationalists and council members, using routes such as a facebook application and facebook advertising and riding the wave of popular forums such as mumsnet to make best use of further advertising spend.
Twitter is being used as part of the ongoing campaign with the announcement of the competition to mums’ groups and prominent ‘mum’ bloggers made via this route in order to spread the message as widely and as quickly as possible. Livelink has also incorporated its automated, emarketing platform KeepinTouch into the website to ensure that all competition entries are completed on time. Successful channels are immediately identified as referral paths are measured using the most sophisticated software.

Livelink’s managing director, PK Vaish explains: “KeepinTouch works brilliantly with a website like this as the emails will be triggered to ensure that governors, teachers and parents sufficiently hassle the head teacher to enter the competition. It’s pester power but for all the right reasons as it’s a great competition for the schools and the children alike, delivering some very real benefits for the winning teams. It’s been good for the team to stretch its creative muscle and to demonstrate that we’re extremely good on the creative and social media side although we have always been identified by our sophisticated software engineering. We are at a point now where we can position ourselves as digital and social media strategists as well as technical experts.”

Emma Bloomer, head of marketing for Elliott Modular Buildings, is delighted that Livelink was able to rise to the challenge: “The team has more than proved itself – not to mention impressing us greatly ! – by the incredible turnaround that it has managed on this project. Time was of the essence for us and to have the project delivered in less than five days from the point that the brief was given is incredibly impressive. We were aware that Livelink had the best technical knowledge and understanding to deliver for us but we have found ourselves equally impressed by both the team’s designs and its social media expert direction.”
