Skiddle is pleased to announce the launch of their new Facebook Ticket Shop. Having been the first ticket outlet in the world to offer a ticket shop app on Facebook, this is the brand new incarnation of Skiddle’s Ticket Shop app continues Skiddle’s dominance on the social media giant.

Ben Sebborn, Skiddle’s Technical Director went on to say: “Our new ticket shop allows our promoters to sell tickets on Facebook through their Facebook Page, we simply provide app and fulfil the orders. There’s been a lot of talk about the potential for F-commerce and we’re pleased to be at the forefront, spearheading its development.”

Featuring the ability to custom brand the app, build up the event’s RSVP list and offering the highest level of secure payments and fraud protection ordinarily available with ticket sales through Skiddle, this is the first ticket shop app to fully integrate with Facebook timeline, exponentially increasing the chances of an event going viral.

Whilst discussing the new Ticket Shop, Director, Richard Dyer explained: “This isn’t about evolution, this is about revolution and Skiddle’s leading the charge. The world of ticket sales is changing; promoters, venues and brands out there are sending people to Facebook because they recognise this is the best place to interact with their customers. With the Skiddle Ticket Shop app, tickets can be sold there and then, catching loads more impulse purchases. The potential for ticket sales is huge.”

Skiddle’s Online Development Manager, Martyn Taylor has been instrumental in the development of the Facebook Ticket Shop, explaining: “We’ve carried out a large amount of usability testing on what’s already out there and to be frank, the other ticket shops are painful and often unusable. To ensure our customers and potential customers will see the benefit of using our ticket shop solution we’ve used this research to ensure the Skiddle Facebook Ticket Shop will deliver ticket sales for our promoters through a free flowing, easy to use, user interface.”

Commenting on the beta launch of the new ticket shop Sebborn added: “Every ticket sale gets an average of 68 impressions through the timeline and newsfeed functionality, with this potential for virility we’ve found there’s around a 20% increase in ticket sales on Facebook. This is bound to increase in the future.”

Skiddle’s Facebook Ticket Shop is the latest move to further integrate the Skiddle offering with Facebook which saw the site being one of the first to be fully integrated with Facebook Open Graph.

Holding a coveted Hitwise Top 10 most visited websites award, Skiddle is the UK’s largest what’s on guide through its promoter driven events listings.
