Farnham, Surrey, 12 July 2012 – The Whiteoaks Consultancy, one of the UK’s leading technology PR consultancies (PR Week), has appointed a new head of digital as part of its multi-channel B2B communications approach. Andy Black will be responsible for developing and driving digital communication strategies for new and existing clients across multiple platforms and touch points. He will also provide clients with consultancy and guidance on digital elements of their PR campaigns.

Andy’s extensive digital experience includes managing pan-European social media monitoring for a major automotive manufacturer, directing social media and lead generation campaigns for a leading global telecoms operator, building community and collaboration portals for UK GPs and creating open source information solutions for the intelligence community.

In addition to 20 years’ experience in technology sales, marketing and business development, Andy brings extensive experience in social media, B2B community management and B2B content development to his new role as head of digital. He has previously worked with organisations including Reuters, The Independent, Jaguar Land Rover, Daily Mail, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Jane's Information Group.
