Net Media Planet is delighted to be recognised by the most illustrious in the UK Search industry at the 2012 UK Search Awards, winning awards for the Best Mobile Campaign, and the Grand Prix award for best of the best with its successful Papa John’s search campaign.

The UK Search Awards celebrates the very best in SEO, PPC and digital marketing. The Awards which took place on 01 November, brought together over 300 leaders from the industry to share and celebrate success across the sector – with Papa John’s and Net Media Planet the stand out example.

Papa John’s first approached Net Media Planet in May 2011, as they were looking for a radical new marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and drive online revenues across an already saturated market.

Going quite against convention the team at Net Media Planet developed a strategy to drive an increase in revenue without using pricing. Adopting the very latest in search technology and thinking. The team implemented a programme built on a deep understanding of the consumer requirements, utilising specific device and geo-targeting capabilities and ensuring the ad copy was uniquely optimised to maximise the search performance.

All campaigns were created with appetite appeal - designed to persuade customers to spend more across the entire menu. The campaign had immediate impact; revenue increased by +79% and profit increased by +139%, furthermore the average order value increased by +12%.

Each award entry was judged by a panel of respected industry representatives. Commenting on unanimously awarding Net Media Planet the Grand Prix award they said, “Without contest, this was the one outstanding campaign of the awards. Every one of the judges felt that Net Media Planet’s campaign for Papa John’s deserved the 2012 Grand Prix Award for its innovation and creativity which undoubtedly led to the campaign’s fantastic results.”

James Murray, Digital Insight Manager of Experian Marketing Services, a judge on the panel, explains further; "This year's UK Search Awards had an exceptionally high standard of entries but the Papa John's Pizza campaign really stood out as something pretty special. The innovative approach to the campaign which thought about the needs and motivations of a customer, rather than simply pushing discount offers was very clever and got great results for the client. This was exactly the kind of original thinking that we were looking to reward with these accolades. Congratulations to a very worthy winner."
