GameHouse, the UK’s leading 20+ female casual gaming site has today announced the appointment of Rumbi Pfende as Head of Advertising for Europe. Pfende, (who was previously UK Country Manager), will now be responsible for managing all sales teams throughout Europe, with a mandate to expand into new markets and territories in 2013. Primary responsibilities include driving EU advertising revenues, source and implement new business opportunities and provide strategic vision and leadership for her European sales teams.

Having started her career as Group Head for Digital at the Telegraph Media Group (TMG), where she became experienced in launching new products, business development and corporate strategy, Pfende joined GameHouse (then RealGames) as UK Country Manager in Jan 2009 at the height of the recession. Between 2009 and 2013, Pfende’s profile rose as GameHouse’s UK operations became a profitable business in spite of very difficult trading conditions.

Speaking on her appointment, Rumbi Pfende said: “I relish the opportunity of managing our fantastic sales teams throughout Europe, and look forward to expanding and increasing our presence in the European gaming market. I am committed to the power of gaming as a credible advertising solution and to be given the opportunity to reinforce this message across Europe is a great privilege.”
