AKQA, the agency founded in London ten years ago, has received multiple creative honours from around the globe. In the USA, AKQA has been named Creative Agency of the Year by Media Magazine. In March, AKQA was named Interactive Agency of the Year by B2B Magazine. Additionally, AKQA has just been nominated for three Webby Awards, described by Time magazine as the "Online Oscars" and by the Wall Street Journal as "sites that pave important paths to the Internet's next phase."
In London this week AKQA's work has received two silver D&AD nominations in the 'Integrated Communications' and the 'Digital Crafts, Interface/Navigation Category'. Last month AKQA won two Revolution awards: the Revolution Award for 'Best Integrated Campaign' and the Grand Prix, 'The Revolution Award' which is awarded to the company that has made the best overall use of digital media in its business.
The news is announced at the same time that AKQA’s first book, ‘Ideas Volume 1’ - a collection of 21 recently launched award-winning projects has become available from Amazon.co.uk and the ICA bookshop. All proceeds for the sale of the book are donated to charities that support young people: The Prince’s Trust and the NSPCC.
