Following a competitive pitch, digital marketing agency, Agency.com, has been appointed digital agency of record for Vertu, the world’s first and only manufacturer of hand crafted, luxury mobile phones.
Agency.com won the pitch not only by demonstrating their strong creative profile but also through their technical ability, which was used to re-architect the technical infrastructure of Vertu’s website (www.vertu.com) increasing the ease of site updates.
Following the site development, Agency.com created and designed additional site pages showcasing Vertu’s new, special edition Ascent Pink phone illustrating the phones’ special features, which include polished keypad with soft pink backlighting and a matching pink leather case, as well as the exclusive Vertu concierge service.
Launching on the 20th May, this special edition Vertu phone is aimed exclusively at women, yet the creative executions fulfil the brief by promoting the phone as essentially a luxury gift idea, for those who may want to buy their loved one a gift alternative to jewellery or other accessories.
Kathryn Robinson, Global Head of Consumer Acquisition at Vertu, commented: “Since launching the new Vertu.com website to our business, the response has been fantastic - we've had many positive comments, for example praising the deeper content, the improvements to the navigation structure, the clarity of presentation of the products, and the enjoyment of playing with the interactivity. We are really excited to make this first project the start of something bigger.”
David Eastman, Managing Director for Agency.com, commenting on the win said: “Working with a luxury brand is an exciting challenge for us and we are therefore extremely pleased to be selected by Vertu as their agency of record. Vertu is a brand built on the finest craftsmanship and attention to detail and we are looking forward to the opportunity of communicating this via campaign work and the Vertu site itself."
