Nottingham based digital agency Hallam Internet has taken an unprecedented approach to SEO – by taking its lessons from music festival Glastonbury.

It’s not often that search engine optimisation is compared to the festival, which takes place this weekend and is set to attract over 150,000 visitors. But the creative thinking of the consultants at Hallam has led to the creation of their blog post ‘What Glastonbury can teach us about SEO: 7 tips’ http://www.hallaminternet.com/2013/glastonbury-teach-seo-7-tips/

Of the post, Hallam Internet Managing Director Susan Hallam said, “It’s so important to us that we stay abreast of current happenings and Glastonbury is one of the biggest dates of the summer. Just like the festival, digital marketing is all about being fresh but also being true to the brand and its tried and tested rules, so it makes sense for us to compare the two. We think it works really well.”

SEO tips from Glastonbury include ‘You must have a mobile strategy’, ‘The right platform is the key to success’ and ‘Create new content, as well as Golden Oldies’.

The blog post is one of many from the agency, whose ten consultants share SEO, social media and business strategy tips regularly at http://www.hallaminternet.com/blog/
