Tesco, The Body Shop, Seatwave and eFlorist partner with Tradedoubler and Passforce for launch

London, UK –6 September 2013 – Tradedoubler, the international performance marketing and technology company, is the first affiliate network in the world to introduce a marketing solution for Apple’s Passbook as an option for its clients in the UK.

Working exclusively with Passforce, a mobile wallet technology provider, Tradedoubler is integrating the mobile wallet into Performance Marketing programs for four major advertisers: Tesco, The Body Shop, Seatwave and eFlorist, through select affiliates such as Netvouchercodes.com

Passbook is Apple’s mobile wallet which allows consumers to store all of their digital tickets, boarding passes, store cards and coupons in one easy-to-access app. Research from the Tradedoubler Insight Unit shows that shoppers are increasingly bargain-hunting via mobile, with 51 per cent of connected consumers1. pro-actively searching for vouchers on their phones.

By integrating Tradedoubler’s Passbook solution into their performance marketing programs, advertisers will now be able to follow-up the initial delivery of a voucher, coupon or special ticket even after consumers have left the original affiliate channel on their iPhone or iPad2. Options could include: tactical push messages to remind customers that vouchers are about to expire combined with geo-targeting to drive them in-store, or even offering updates to customers when their code expires.

Consumers will benefit from having their coupons and vouchers stored in a single location, where they can access and redeem them at a convenient time or place. By making it easy to complete the purchase via mobile, the purchase journey can be accurately tracked and the affiliate rewarded.

“This is an exciting and unique proposition for our clients and a first in the performance marketing world,” says Neil Ranatunga, Head of Mobile, UK, Tradedoubler.

“We now have the ability to help improve conversion, even after the customer has left an affiliate website. By driving more sales for our clients and more commission for our affiliates from the same level of traffic, we believe that Tradedoubler’s Passbook solution opens the door to a brand new way of improving brands’ voucher code performance,” continued Ranatunga.

Trung Nguyen, Managing Director, Passforce, says: "As one of the leaders in Passbook content management, we are very excited to be helping Tradedoubler launch its Passbook service on our platform. Using Passforce’s extensive API and easy-to-use visual design tools, Tradedoubler can offer its Passbook solution to advertisers in a matter of days."

This Passbook trial is the latest in a series of mobile innovations that Tradedoubler has bought to the performance marketing sector. It was the first network to offer performance marketing solutions across all three digital channels: online, mobile web and via app. Its drive to innovate combined with its deep understanding of mobile consumers across Europe and its high quality network has resulted in a number of major award wins, including: Most Effective Mobile Affiliate Campaign, awarded by Mobile Marketing Magazine for Tradedoubler’s campaign for The Body Shop.
