Global style platform integrates cutting-edge social video technology in search for the real-life MR PORTER

LONDON - Global men’s style destination MRPORTER.COM released a new micro-video functionality for its social “Style Wherever You Are” campaign, built by digital agency Essence. Men around the world can now upload micro videos as well as photographs to MR PORTER’s Global Style hub to showcase their fashion and style, for the chance of winning a wardrobe worth £2,500.

As the global destination for men’s style, MR PORTER curates the best international menswear along with award winning content. With “Style Wherever You Are”, the fashion retailer wants to connect stylish men from London to LA with the brands they love; and shine the light on the social MR PORTER community and their unique style choices.

Men around the world can now share and showcase their sartorial creativity to the mobile-optimised MR PORTER branded platform “Global Style” with Instagram’s simple entry mechanic for video and photographs. Making full use of Instagram’s new micro video technology, MR PORTER Global Style has opened up entries to 15 second video formats as well as photographs, encouraging users to be creative and innovative with their style entries for the chance of winning a wardrobe worth £2,500.

All entries are uploaded to the MR PORTER Global Style interactive navigational map and gallery through Instagram with the hashtag #MRPORTERGS plus city hashtag (e.g. #London), where the entries can be voted for with an Instagram-inspired one-click in the video and photo gallery.
