Strepsils, the UK’s No 1 brand for sore throats, is tying up with The X Factor in a new promotional campaign. Launching in October and running for seven weeks, the ‘Strepsils Star Moments’ campaign will give hopefuls a chance to win tickets to The X Factor Live Final weekend at Wembley Arena.
The Strepsils Star Moments online game was created by TMW and consists of videos of previous X Factor performances that fans watch and try and find the ‘star moment’ – the moment they feel that the contestant’s voice sounds at its very best. Entrants then submit their chosen time for a chance to win X Factor Live Final tickets for themselves and three friends. If they find the actual ‘Strepsils star moment’, they are then entered into a prize draw where they could win an additional four tickets. The videos are updated and released on a weekly basis in the run up to The X Factor Live Final.
The campaign microsite www.strepsils.co.uk/xfactor is fully responsive, enabling viewers to play the game across multiple devices. The campaign also takes advantage of the Ad Sync format, allowing dual screeners to access the game during ad breaks showing the Strepsils TV advert.
TMW will be supporting the campaign with social media activity and banner advertising. TV idents are being produced by Havas.
