A new mobile application for iPhone and Android smartphones, RPO Rewards, has been developed and released by digital marketing solutions provider KODIME on behalf of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO).
The new app, RPO Rewards, now available for both iPhone and Android platforms, provides the RPO with a comprehensive solution to market, promote and sell tickets for a wide range of concerts, in venues including London's Cadogan Hall, Fairfield Halls in Croydon and Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.
The app combines concert listings with mobile ticketing and a loyalty scheme, rewarding registered users for their ticket purchases and social interactions such as sharing their chosen event with their friends on Facebook and Twitter.
Uniquely, the app also acts as the container for the mobile ticket, using QR code technology to enable ticket buyers to easily gain access to RPO performances.
A built-in loyalty scheme rewards users for ticket purchases by allocating points which can be redeemed for prizes such as Spotify and Amazon vouchers and CDs.
A complete smartphone proposition to find out about RPO concerts, incentivising viral marketing and enabling easy to use ticketing, the RPO Rewards app makes full use of the mobile channel to engage with and expand the audience.
Chris Evans, Director of Press & Marketing, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, said: "The Orchestra is delighted to enter the app market by offering RPO Rewards. I believe it is important for an orchestra to investigate and explore modern marketing practices and Kodime Ltd has been the perfect partner. RPO Rewards will enter the market place during an exciting time for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as we extend our reach around the UK; RPO Rewards will become a useful tool to help and encourage new patrons to attend our wide-variety of classical concerts we have to offer."
Nico Köpke, Director Kodime Ltd, commented: "We are excited about this new app, which adds to our growing portfolio of app and other digital work in the arts and music sector. Backed by our Komobility platform this app provides both the end users and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra a seamless solution to actively market and sell tickets digitally, supported by loyalty and engagement tools."
