Bloom UK, the professional network for women in communications, has announced the line-up of inspirational speakers for its next event, ‘Achieving your potential…make it happen’. The event, in aid of charity Eaves, will take place on the evening of Tuesday 11th March at the Brick Lane offices of global marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi.
Hosted by Claire Beale, Editor of Marketing magazine, the event will feature a panel of four inspirational women who have all ‘made it happen’ and taken different paths to achieve success.
The panel will include:
• The IPA’s Director of Marketing, Janet Hull OBE
• TV and media medic Dr Dawn
• Brand strategist (and former AEG Europe SVP of Marketing), Kimberly Kriss
• A special guest from Eaves, a charity supporting women who have experienced violence
Panellists will share their experiences of achieving their potential, whether that’s through overcoming adversity, by helping or being helped by others, through failing a few times first or by making a change later on in life.
Tickets for the event cost £15 (including a complimentary drink) and are available via Eventbrite, with all proceeds going to the charity Eaves. Eaves works with women who are vulnerable through experiences of violence, empowering them to get their lives back. The charity leads the way in exposing and addressing the overlapping issues of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and exploitation of women in the UK.
Bloom UK is a professional network for women in communications that exists to help them fulfil their potential through mentoring, networking events and fundraising.
Chrissy Totty, Head of Innovation at Vizeum and President of Bloom UK said: “At Bloom UK, we aim to encourage and empower women in the comms industry to achieve their potential, so we’re thrilled to have a panel of such highly accomplished women offering words of wisdom at our event. We’re sure they will provide plenty of inspiration to help attendees reach their professional (and personal) goals.”
Kimberly Kriss, brand strategist said: “For me, achieving your potential is about discovering what you’re passionate about then working that awareness into the development of your personal brand. I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences alongside the other inspirational women on the panel.”
