Website overhaul to improve service to consumers and advertisers New site launches with campaigns from AOL, British Airways and Norwich Union Direct

The UK's leading home and local website www.upmystreet.com has been redesigned to improve its offering for consumers and commercial partners. The newly architected site has a fresh look and feel, is much faster and offers new formats for advertisers. The site launches with campaigns from major advertisers including AOL, British Airways and Norwich Union Direct

The new UpMyStreet retains its wealth of local neighbourhood information and services that are personalised to each visitor's postcode. This includes a Property and Moving channel covering everything from local property prices to property for sale or rent, a full suite of money saving calculators for home and financial services such as energy, broadband, mortgages and home insurance, a section on the Local Area, which includes maps, local schools, transport links, and crime statistics as well as the ever popular FindMyNearest...(tm) service helping consumers find local business and services close by.

Launch advertisers include AOL, Norwich Union Direct and British Airways who are running major online campaigns to raise brand awareness. FindMyNearest...(tm) on the home page will be sponsored by Norwich Union Direct whilst AOL is using a geographically targeted campaign to raise brand awareness with consumers in postcodes where there is a high take up of broadband. BA is using MPUs, a new format for UpMyStreet, to promote short haul flights to visitors who live in postcodes close to their regional airports in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Birmingham.

Julia Grinham, Commercial Director at UpMyStreet.com explained, 'As UpMyStreet grew, the increasing amount of content became difficult to navigate. The new site will be more engaging for consumers and an even better platform for advertisers and commercial partners.'

'Every visitor to UpMyStreet types in their postcode before entering the site meaning that all the information, including much of the advertising, is personal to them. The local information and services on the site help people make key decisions about their home and local area, whether they're moving home or simply looking to get more out of where they live now. This is an unrivalled proposition for advertisers and commercial partners, especially as our visitors are across all key life stages from buying their first home to expanding their family to planning their retirement.'
