Global education provider GEMS has appointed Zone as its lead digital agency.
The six-figure brief was awarded following a competitive pitch run by Oystercatchers.
The agency has been tasked with delivering a digital media strategy and infrastructure to help GEMS engage with both their existing and potential parents, as well as teachers and students around the world.
Zone’s remit includes building an online global platform with local content strategies to help communicate with parents engaging with GEMS schools worldwide. The agency has also been briefed to establish best in practice digital internal communications and drive engagement via a robust content and social marketing programme.
Claire Chappell, Group Marketing Director for GEMS said: “Education, like other sectors, is in the middle of a massive digital shift. Parents now have access to more information and insights than ever before. Zone’s passion for education, working with City & Guilds, the Department for Education and EDGE, combined with its content and UX expertise, will help us in our mission to put a quality education within reach of every child.”
Jon Davie, Zone managing director, commented: “Digital and technological innovation is throwing up new opportunities within the education sector. We’re thrilled to be working with an ambitious brand like GEMS which is grabbing those opportunities with both hands to lead the category.”
