Skiweekends named as overall winner of Sitecore Experience Awards after achieving 16% year-on-year sales growth

London – 9th December 2014 – Sitecore®, the global leader in customer experience management, has announced the winners of its inaugural Sitecore Experience Awards United Kingdom at its awards party, attended by over 300 guests and held at KOKO in London.

The Sitecore Experience Awards celebrates the achievements of Sitecore customers and partners who have used the Sitecore® Experience Platform™ to deliver the best experience for their customers, with each award winner clearly demonstrating results for improving customer experience and achieving business objectives.

The award winners also showed how their organisations are benefiting from the extensive capability within the single, connected Sitecore Experience Platform, with many winners delivering multichannel, multi-device experiences to their customers, involving areas such as social media, business systems integration and cloud deployment.

This year’s awards featured a record number of categories, with Sitecore customers and solution partners battling over a total of 19 awards. This included five marketing specialist categories, three business results categories, the People’s Choice award voted by the public and the overall Sitecore Experience Award.

Skiweekends, together with their Sitecore Solution partner Sagittarius, took the coveted overall Sitecore Experience Award, with Everton Football Club securing the public vote to win the Sitecore People’s Choice Award.

Everton Football Club received 35% of the public vote from an online Facebook poll and was awarded the Sitecore People’s Choice Award, as the public’s favourite from twelve Sitecore-powered websites.

The award for the Best Financial Services site was presented to Nationwide and their Sitecore Solution partner HeathWallace. Nationwide wanted to make support and advice more prominent for customers, with HeathWallace centralising Nationwide’s digital operations on the Sitecore platform, designing highly flexible content templates, allowing Nationwide to make quick changes, respond to new trends and initiatives and ensure the site looked and performed well on any device.

After launch, customer feedback was 92% positive, and conversion to product application improved on average by 29%, climbing to 84% for its savings products.

The overall Sitecore Experience Award was presented to Skiweekends together with Sitecore Solution Partner Sagittarius, who won the award for their use of the Sitecore Experience Platform to manage the entire Skiweekends’ digital experience across all devices. The new site personalises to each user, so the site content, holiday packages displayed, promotions and incentives are all tailored to the visitor’s most applicable persona profile – and this also extends to email and customer service delivery. Using the platform to manage social media interaction, and for analytics, together Skiweekends has achieved 16% year-on-year sales growth.
