Alistair Potter, who was the deputy editor of for 3 years, started his new role on 6th August and has been tasked with establishing and growing the MSLGROUP content offer. He will report into James Warren, Head of Digital EMEA at MSLGROUP.
As part of his new job role, Potter will be required to work closely with MSLGROUP’s insight team, design studio and client directors to deliver engaging stories, content and experiences across the company’s corporate, consumer and employee practice areas.
Potter brings with him over 10 years of journalism experience and will replace Kinda Jackson who was recently promoted to the role of Director within the Consumer PR practice.
During his time at Metro, Potter led the content, social media and SEO strategy across all editorial areas of He also helped oversee the implementation of the new socially shareable content strategy which led to an audience increase of 300% YOY.
Potter also played a key role in helping Metro become the UK’s fastest growing newspaper website with a current global monthly audience of 30m UVs.
