Just after midnight on 29th March 2014, the first same sex marriage took place in the UK. Seen as one of the biggest turning points for LGBT rights, Clicky Media, on behalf of prestigious wedding venue provider, The Tabor Group, has created a microsite, www.loveequals.co.uk to mark the second year anniversary, officially launching on 29th March 2016.

The striking site has been designed to house key information about the progress that has been made since the legislation came into effect in March 2014. With over 15,000 same-sex marriages in England and Wales since it was made legal, the progression has been immense. However, more can still be done, with the enlightening site looking to raise awareness and ensure progression across the world, moving away from the stigma that comes with same-sex marriage.

Several high profile contributors from the LBGT community can be found on the site, including Rebecca Root, the first trans woman in mainstream television to play a trans woman. Carrie J. Lyell, Assistant Editor of Diva Magazine, the only monthly print and online magazine for lesbian and bisexual women, comments: “It was an important landmark which was rightly celebrated, but it’s also important to remember that marriage rights aren’t the be all and end all of equality, and the fight, for many of us, is far from over.”

It is exactly this reason that Clicky developed the idea of the www.loveequals.co.uk microsite for The Tabor Group. Making thousands of same-sex couples dreams a reality year on year, The Group is a fierce supporter of the same-sex marriage movement and want to do as much as they can to ensure the momentum continues towards an equal world.

Oliver Yeates, founder of Clicky Media comments: “We have been working with The Tabor Group to develop their online presence to great success but were aware that they wanted to do more than just promote themselves. Working with them to create the Love Equals site has truly opened our eyes to what still needs to be done to eliminate prejudice. With fantastic content and effective calls to action, we hope that highlighting this important milestone will go some way towards making a difference for the LBGT community.”

Clicky and The Tabor Group have also arranged an emotive partnership with Stonewall, Britain’s leading lesbian, gay, bi and trans equality charity, for the www.loveequals.co.uk site. This offers people the ability to donate directly, helping Stonewall to realise their mission of transforming institutions, changing laws, empowering individuals and ultimately changing hearts and minds.

The soft launch of the website takes place on 22nd March, with the website officially launching on 29th March. A hashtag has been developed for the campaign #loveequals.
