Digital agency Jellyfish has appointed Geisla de Souza as head of display, EMEA.

De Souza brings over 17 years of industry experience to her new role, with expertise including ad operations, programmatic, data and technology. She joins from AudienceScience where, as VP global platform and ad operations, she was responsible for the overall campaign management for clients including Procter & Gamble. Prior to this, she held the title of operations director at GroupM Interaction.

As head of display, EMEA at Jellyfish, De Souza’s overarching objective will be to lead her team in delivering an unrivalled service and the best possible results to clients. As well as growing and developing the agency’s display team, she is tasked with ensuring Jellyfish remains at the forefront of display innovation in order to offer clients a best-in-class display offering.

De Souza’s appointment follows that of digital and programmatic expert Gawain Owen who joins Jellyfish as digital strategy director on 1st August. She will report to Daniel Wilkinson, the agency’s head of paid media.

Daniel Wilkinson, head of paid media at Jellyfish comments: “Geisla has that rare talent for taking sometimes complex material and making it easily digestible for all. Her significant global experience, varied skill set and passion for developing others made her the ideal candidate for the role and an excellent fit for the agency.”

Geisla de Souza adds: “As our industry continues to face challenges around media transparency, I’m delighted to join an agency that runs a fully transparent model. The agency’s commitment to building a strong and trusting client / agency relationship is clear and it’s something that attracted me to the role. Jellyfish is one of the few remaining independent digital agencies and its boutique feel coupled with its global offering make it a truly unique place to be.”
