Stellar Sales Quarter Combined with Product Innovations and Employee Growth Further Strengthens Accipiter as Primary Force in Online Ad Management Industry

LONDON, UK and RALEIGH, NC – August 11, 2005 – Accipiter Solutions, Inc., an online advertising technology innovator since 1996, today announced their most successful sales quarter. Accipiter acquired a record number of new customers in the second quarter, tripling the number of new deals in its previous best quarter. New customer acquisition has also resulted in a 23% rise in the number of ad impressions served using Accipiter technologies over the past six months. AdManager Hosted revenue is up 12% from the May to June timeframe alone.

“Our record sales quarter reflects Accipiter’s ability to continue to capitalize on industry trends and respond to our customers’ as well as our prospects’ needs,” explained Brian Handly, Accipiter CEO. “Our solid competitive differentiators and promising market dynamics position us as the primary force in online ad management technologies as we continue to expand our product offerings.”
After receiving a $2M capital infusion earlier this year, Accipiter has been on an accelerated growth track as compared to other industry players, increasing industry awareness, developing new technologies, and building a strong infrastructure. Currently in its 8th generation of ad serving technology, Accipiter initially estimated a 30% employee growth plan for the year. However, Accipiter’s employee infrastructure has already grown 50% over the course of the year.

A key addition to the Accipiter team is Geoffrey Alexander, director of product strategy. Alexander brings more than six years of direct e-commerce experience to Accipiter, after serving as senior manager of business development at America Online (AOL). He also held positions in product strategy, product management and marketing during his time at AOL. As director of product strategy, Alexander will be responsible for working closely with Accipiter’s product development, marketing, and executive teams to expand the company’s family of cutting edge online advertising technologies.

Other additions to the team include Bryan Holjes as director of sales account management and Chris Hanburger as inside sales manager. In his new role, Holjes will be responsible for managing the ultimate success and growth of relationships with customers in the US, Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific. He comes to Accipiter with years of online advertising experience, many of which were as a customer of Accipiter’s during his tenure as vice president of sales for Hanburger comes to Accipiter with more than five years of direct and managerial experience in inside sales. Most recently with Identify Software, Hanburger will be responsible for managing all sales-driven lead generation campaigns.

Accipiter also announced that it has promoted Kay Burgess to the role of chief operating officer. Burgess recently joined Accipiter as chief financial officer but has now expanded her responsibilities to include the management of human resources and overall company operations in addition to her financial duties. Burgess has more than 15 years of experience, having served as CFO or co-CFO for companies in a variety of industries including: a venture-backed physician practice management roll-up, a NASDAQ-traded telecommunications company, a private investigations company, an office furniture manufacturer, and an executive office suites company.

Other promotions include Will Clayton to product manager, Tim Hill to manager of Technical Support and Mike Kloss to manger of Quality Assurance. Clayton has more than a decade of e-commerce experience and originally joined Accipiter in 2000. Hill joined Accipiter in 1998 and Kloss joined in 1999. Both have since filled a number of customer-facing technical service roles including training, on-site consulting, and installation.
