Wallace Sacks, one of the UK's largest suppliers of high quality designer leather, suede and sheepskin clothing, outerwear and lifestyle products, has launched a direct sales channel for its Lifestyle home accessory products on the Internet at http://www.wallacesacks.com. The company is targeting 25% of its total sales via the web within three years.
Wallace Sacks, established in 1978, is a family owned and run design business manufacturing several brands that are marketed within leading High Street chains, department stores and independents. It launched Wallace Sacks Lifestyle in 2000 with the aim of creating collections of interior accessories that are exciting, stylish and fashion-led, to keep pace with peoples ever changing lifestyles.
Now, due to the rapid emergence of the Internet as a sales channel and growing customer demand, Wallace Sacks Lifestyle is launching an Internet-based direct sales channel, with a fully transactional e-commerce website. Over 25,000 people search for home furnishings and accessories each month and UK Internet retail sales are projected to approach £20bn in 2005. As well as its innovative trend-setting collections, the website also offers a core range of classic items, sales promotions, fashion and expert design advice and tips. Home accessories on sale include cushions, furniture, soft seating, rugs, lighting, bedding and mirrors.
Key capabilities of the new website (http://www.wallacesacks.com) include:
* Reinforcing Wallace Sacks Lifestyle brand on the Internet and support direct sales of its home accessories;
* Equip each site with important sales and marketing tools for campaigns (special offers, emails, sales, promotions, cross-sells etc) to increase order values;
* Set up online customer accounts and profiles to recognise returning customers and improve customer service and boost lifetime values;
* Ensuring that Lifestyle products and categories are well represented in Google and other search engines;
* Regular updates for new products, sales promotions and news.
The new e-commerce website has been developed by Screen Pages (http://www.screenpages.com), which specialises in providing managed e-commerce and online marketing services to online retailers and mail order companies.
Stephen Sacks, managing director of Wallace Sacks, said: “The Internet is growing massively as a sales channel for home accessories and furnishings. It is vitally important that we provide a website that our customers can use to research and buy our Lifestyle products. We are very confident that this significant launch will help increase our sales and profitability as Wallace Sacks continues to expand.”
