WebSideStory UK has announced the signing of 2 major new clients in the UK online media sector. Both Guardian Newspapers and CricInfo.com have confirmed that they will be using HBX – WebSideStory’s Real Time Enterprise Web Analytics service.

These clients will add to WebSideStory’s already extensive media client base which includes News International, BSkyB, Autotrader, New Scientist, BBC Magazines, Aura Sports and Natmags.

“Guardian Unlimited chose HBX from WebSideStory after an extensive review of the major analytics vendors. HBX won over the competitors because of their rich functional set, their accessibility to a wide range of internal users, and their ability to deliver real-time analytics to proven ABCe standards,” said Lloyd Shepherd, Head of Development, Guardian Unlimited.

Andrew Hall, Head of Marketing at Cricinfo.com said that “WebSideStory’s experience in the media market – particularly with clients like News International was a deciding factor. As one of the highest trafficked sports sites and with the Ashes Test series about to start, our ability to track activity on our sites in real time will give us and our advertisers real benefits.”

Mark Wood, WebSideStory’s Sales Manager was keen to emphasise the importance of these two new signings. “Since coming to the UK a little over 2 years ago, we have demonstrated that our product is ideally suited to the media market and have rapidly built up an impressive list of clients. Companies respond positively to our advanced functionality, the reliability and accessibility of our data and our committed account management. We are delighted to be working with two such important online businesses.”
