The work of the Midlands’ leading digital marketing communications agency Freestyle New Media has helped Land Rover Jaguar Academy scoop a second national HR award in less than six months.

Just last week at the annual HR Excellence Awards 2005 Land Rover and Jaguar took the top award for its website People Solutions in the category “Best Transformation of the HR function using technology”.

Freestyle worked in close partnership with its client to create the People Solutions website which uses an engaging blend of animated case studies, quick and easy information downloads for standard forms and, a live interactive HR advice point where users can raise questions.

People Solutions is the brainchild of Alice Jones, programme manager at Land Rover Academy. She wanted to revolutionise the way in which dealership managers accessed and used the latest people management and HR advice. She commissioned Freestyle to help create the online solution that became People Solutions.

Freestyle Account Director Andy Wood said: “People Solutions is a successful example of how online technology has created a strategic HR management tool. In this case it provides managers in multi-site operations with relevant HR and personnel information that is communicated in a timely and cost effective way. But the real advantage of this type of online solution is that it can be successfully applied across just about any business discipline bringing about significant cost savings, better information access and improved communications. “

Winning Formula
This latest award for People Solutions follows a previous important win at the 2004 Personnel Today Awards also in the HR technology category. It has also been shortlisted in the highly prestigious Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) Awards which are to be announced later in 2005.
