      Having been established for a number of years, marketing automation is becoming a must-have for marketers across sectors owing to the benefits it offers both the marketer and the customer. Research conducted amongst experts for this report shows that there is an industry movement towards using this technology to improve the customer experience throughout the journey, creating personal messages at scale

      However, challenges still exist with marketing automation. Experts agree that there is potential for misuse if there is not adequate control and appropriate resource allocated to the use of the platforms.
