Buck Seng graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science degree and holds a post-graduate diploma in Systems Analysis from the Institute of Systems Science, and is currently a business and digital adviser, consultant and coach. He is a certified Digital Adviser and Adjunct Lecturer with Singapore Institute of Retail Study, Nanyang Polytechnic and was trained for eCommerce on Taobao by Alibaba Taobao University. Having last served as a Digital Adviser for Amici Enterprise Pte Ltd - an automotive parts & accessories distributor in Southeast Asia, Buck Seng set up and expanded Amici’s eCommerce business in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia. He developed and grew the online businesses in Lazada SG, Qoo10 SG, Shopee SG, Amazon (US & Canada), shop.com.mm (Myanmar) and Khmer24.com (Cambodia). Working with Amici’s key principals, he also launched & managed two Official Stores for Philips Automotive (one in Qoo10 SG and the other in Shopee SG), as well as the Official Store for Blaupunkt (in Qoo10 SG).
Prior to this, Buck Seng was an IT and professional services industry professional with over 22 years experience helping customer organizations leverage technologies to spur business growth and overcome competitive challenges. He held business management, business development, market research and consulting roles with Hewlett-Packard, IBM, QlikTech and International Data Corporation. He has a good grasp of markets in the Asia Pacific and is familiar with industries, including manufacturing & distribution, wholesale & retail, agribusiness, logistics & transport, civil aviation and public sector.
Buck Seng’s work as an industry analyst has been quoted in International Herald Tribune, USA Today, The Business Times and other regional publications and he is a Chartered Member with Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation, Singapore. In addition, he is professionally certified in Strategic Foresight from the University of Houston and a Foresight Facilitator certified by the Institute for the Future (IFTF) [a Silicon valley based Strategic Think-tank]. He is also an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Academy accredited Instructor.
