In one sentence, what is InstallThisApp?

InstallThisApp offers a suite of apps that allow community managers, business owners, and anyone who admins a Facebook Page, to easily customize catalogs, web forms, puzzlse, photo contests, and much more within just a few minutes.

What problem(s) does it solve?

Without programming skills, making a Facebook app can be a little tricky.

We’re offering a solution that lets anyone get their branded apps together within a few minutes. Since all the apps on our suite are 100% customizable (colors, fonts, button’s texts, images…etc.) you can edit actions and get a fully branded app from us without writing a single line of code.

What are your immediate goals?

To keep creating new types of apps to be a step ahead of trends. We look a lot towards contests and tools that helps our customers generate interaction with their fans and clients.

What were the biggest challenges involved in building the tech or your team?

Definitely our biggest challenge was to create a strong platform (our framework) which allows us to develop almost any social tool or game imaginable in almost no time.

When we’re developing a new app, we just focus on the mechanic and logic of that specific app, the rest is already done in our framework.

Another big challenge is to stay up to date with changes Facebook makes inside their platform.

How will the company make money?

We offer monthly plans for Page administrators. Also, users can buy just one app for the days that they need it active.

The monthly plans and costs for a single app depend on the amount of fans on the Facebook Page where the apps are going to be installed.

Who is in your team?

We are two developers (including myself), one UI designer and one marketer.

Where would you like to be in one, three and five years’ time?

We would like to have hundreds of apps available for our users, and in the future we’d love to open our framework and allow external developers to create new apps in order to grow our services, letting them take advantage of the framework’s features.

Other than your own, what are your favorite websites/apps/tools?

We’re big fans of the tools we use everyday to develop this product and we believe they are the best choice for this. They allow us to easily focus in what we want/need to do and the history behind the people who created them inspires us every day to make great products just like they made.

For us, Apple is the Manchester United of computers, Ruby on Rails the Led Zeppelin of development languages and JQuery is the William Shakespeare of JavaScript frameworks.
