Life after The Digitals: five winners, one year later

It’s not too late to enter The Digitals with your own successful case study, which definitely deserves a wider audience and could also help inspire a new generation of digital innovators.

The Digitals 2014 are designed to showcase the finest work from the global digital and ecommerce community, but not just from individuals, we want to put the whole team centre stage in order to celebrate and truly reflect the collaborative culture of our industry.

You have till 24 September 2014 to enter, and in order to give you inspiration for your own entry I’m going to take a look at some of the past winners and see how they’ve been fairing since their award win.

AutoTrader: iPad app review

Following on from a successful iPhone app, Auto Trader released a version for the iPad last week. 

The launch is in response to growing levels of traffic on autotrader.co.uk from Apple’s tablets. In the last six months, traffic from these devices has grown by 133%.

Site review: Auto Trader

Motoring website Auto Trader has recently launched a new version of its site in beta, updating the technology behind the site and introducing a more modern design.

The Auto Trader mobile website was impressive when I reviewed it recently, so I’ve decided to have a closer look at the new desktop site. It’s a pretty big site, so I’ve confined my review to a used car search…

Which auto websites are getting it right?

A study of automotive website usability has named the Audi website as the best by a manufacturer, with Volvo and Mini the runners up.

The eDigitalResearch study was commissioned by Auto Trader, and looks at various features of car websites, including selector tools and customer service options.
