The service will launch first in the UK, followed by other major European markets, believed to be France, Italy and Germany.
Vodafone will sell selected handsets with the MySpace Mobile application pre-loaded onto them. In addition, the application will be available through the Vodafone Live! portal.
This is the first deal that MySpace has made with a European mobile operator, and the two companies have also entered into a co-marketing deal, which will see MySpace promoted within Vodafone’s advertising.
MySpace Mobile on Vodafone will provide the most used MySpace features, allowing users to edit their own MySpace profiles, find and add friends, post photos and blogs and send and receive MySpace messages while on the move.
